This class builds the foundation of your practice, combining postures, sequences and breathing techniques. Instruction and assistance gently guide you towards the next level of your practice. Great for beginners or for anyone who wants to gradually gain core strength and flexibility.

PILATES (adults )

Pilates (pronounced /p?'l?:ti:z/) is a physical fitness system developed in the early 20th century by Joseph Pilates in Germany. As of 2005 there are 11 million people who practice the discipline regularly.

The program focuses on the core postural muscles which help keep the body balanced and which are essential to providing support for the spine. In particular, Pilates exercises teach awareness of breathing and alignment of the spine, and aim to strengthen the deep torso muscles. Pilates may be practiced by people of all ages and all levels of physical fitness.
