Influenced at a young age by his mother; a British international athlete, John has always shown an interest for sport and coaching.
During University studies, he was asked to represent England Universities playing against
Wales in Cardiff on the international Rugby Union circuit.
John wishes to influence sporting participation levels within our community and is currently involved in projects to allow ‘sport for all’ for the South Sinai region youth.
Since 2001, John has resided in Sharm El Sheikh.  Together with his wife, they have two beautiful children and take great pride in maintaining a healthy family life.

Oksana


 

Oksana has lived in Sharm el Sheikh for the past 10 years. She has been dancing since she was 8 years old. Oksana graduated from Ballet School and The Choreography Institute in Samara, Russia.  She has been teaching children of all ages and adult dance classes for more than 10 years. She has a strong knowledge of physiology and physical fitness as well as music and rhythm. She is always looking for “modern solutions” to classical dance, movement and expression.  She also has taught Pilates for the past 2 years.

Jana

Jana has lived in Sharm El Sheikh for 5 years and is married with a young son.I have finished choreographic school in Saratov in 1994. Then I was working in Opera and Ballet theatre till 2004. I took part in ballet group and traveled to Japan, Spain and Korea. Classic ballet, modern, folklore dances all were part of our Ballet group’s dance repertoire.
At the same moment I have finished Saratov Stat University and graduated as a choreographic teacher for ballet school and theatre.

Erin

Erin has been living and working in Egypt for almost 2 years now and has been dancing since she was 3 years old. Her career took off in dance schools in Sydney Australia where she trained in ballet, jazz, tap, singing, musical theatre, hip/hop, contemporary and break dancing.
Erin has performed in 4 Rock Eisteddfod challenges, several times in    musicals and frequently on television; she also danced in the Sydney Opera House and in the Australian National Dance Championships.

Hip Hop, Jazz Dance, Ballet, Fun Dance.

Qualifications

In 2000 she completed her Ballet exams at the British Dancing Association gaining her teaching qualification and a Professional Dancer Certificate in the Royal Academy of Dance in 2005.

Anta

Anta is a highly trained and qualified dancer with strong contemporary technique. She has a Bachelor of Arts Dance Degree and has extensive experience performing and teaching many varied dance styles, including Contemporary, Classical, Jazz, Street Dance/Hip Hop, Caribbean and Carnival. She has experience in teaching all ages from 5years through to adults and invites everybody to join her very professional fun dance classes!

Midori

She has been practising yoga for over nine years and in this time become deeply immersed in the meditation and the philosophy surrounding the yogic tradition. In 2007 her yoga path led her to India where she had the opportunity to study further and gained a deeper understanding of the ancient culture surrounding this unique and special art.
Yoga practice has so much more to offer than merely raising energy levels and increasing flexibility. Daily practice has brought her balance and support in her everyday life – “I feel fortunate to have found this path and I welcome the opportunity to share my knowledge and experience in helping to build other peoples' practice. “

Vanessa

 




 

Vanessa started her dance training at the early age of 4.   Starting with ballet, she soon became interested in jazz, tap, musical theater, and later Middle-Eastern dance.
Wanting to take her dance education further, Vanessa received her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree (BFA) in Ballet from Texas Christian University. (Ft. Worth, TX, USA)
Upon graduation, Vanessa moved to New York City. During her eight years there, she successfully worked as a dancer, choreographer, actress, and dance/fitness educator.
Now in Egypt for almost one year, Vanessa is pleased to be part of Fit & Fun, and happy to bring the joy of dance to Sharm.

Elena

Elena lives and works in Egypt since 10 years. She started to practice oriental dancing already in her childhood.1997 she pushed her favorite hobby to the professionalism on stage.
Due to the health benefits of the oriental dance she decided to improve her skills and knowledge by getting advanced courses taught by famous Egyptian stars like Mona El Said, Raqia Hassan, Dina, Nagwa Fouad, Katia. 2004 she started to instruct interested women in Hurghada who seeked to
improve shape and to inspire the soul.Since 2 years she lives in Sharm with her Egyptian husband and little son.

Marco

 

 

Marco always had a passion for music and sports in his life. Once he discovered Aerobics and that changed his life. Now he was able to mix the two hobbies with the fitness! He went to a lot of places all over the world, to work with the animation teams of Club Med to share his passion with people!
He will bring that feeling of joy to you. Marco believes that when you are working out in a fitness studio, you are another person, you will forget all the stress, and you will be able to only think of yourself, your body and your soul! Marco invites everybody to join in and experience the fun!

Kris

She came to Sharm to work here as a diving instructor and take a year off work as a social worker in Germany. Now, 13 years later Kris is still here, is married and has got three children. The community of Sharm has always been one of her main interests and she was involved in quite a few community events in the past. With Fit & Fun offering activities to the growing society of Sharm and therefore a growing demand in available activities she is happy to share her experience as social worker and mother with new Mums in town.

Carol


Originally from Scotland, Carol has settled in Sharm since the last five years. She graduated from Glasgow Caledonian University gaining a bachelor of Science Degree in Physiotherapy (honours) 11 years ago. She has worked in this field with a vast array of clients. Carol is delighted to have the opportunity to use her experience as a Physio Therapist and mother of two to help bring the community of mums and their children together.

Karen

 

 

 


Karen has lived and worked in Sharm for the past five years as both a professional singer and for the past year in the real estate field. She studied drama and theatre in the UK for five years gaining a Theatre Foundation diploma; an A’ level in theatre studies and a BA (hons) in creative arts.
Karen’s has taught Drama in both Primary Schools and at 6th form college level and also to adults with special needs. She  has a strong community theatre background and believes that drama can be a “tool for change” and can help not only the individual to build confidence and raise self esteem, but can also challenge the way we see the world and our place in it. Karen believes that drama is something that can be created “by the community, for the community” and is not exclusive to the theatre.
Karen hopes to engage some of Sharm’s residents in order to introduce them to drama and its benefits and to have a lot of fun and enjoyment in the process. Who knows where it could lead!
