Dance Classes

Hip-Hop (8-15 years)

Street/Hip Hop is an energetic and fun style of dance. This is generally the style of dance used in the music videos of commercial chart music and R,n,B, with artists such as Beyonce, Usher, Ne-yo and so many more. The class will be focused on learning new ways to move, and learning the choreography of the routine.

Ballet (5-7 years)

This is a course for small children to help them make the first steps in dance. The course includes choreographic exercises which are the base for any kind of dance activity.

It also helps your child to go inside the world of music with fun and a smile. Small music fantasy will help develop children and teach them to think, be creative and happy whilst expressing themselves.

Ballet (8-10 years)

Ballet is the basis of all other styles of dance. This class is a beginners guide to the basics of ballet where children can enjoy the fun and fitness of learning foot positions and body alignment in the first steps to becoming a Ballerina.

Ballet is a formalized type of performing dance, the origins of which date lay in sixteenth- and seventeenth-century French courts, and which was further developed in England, Italy, and Russia as a concert dance form. It has since become a highly technical form of dance with its own vocabulary.

It is primarily performed with the accompaniment of classical music. It has been influential as a form of dance globally. Ballet dance works (ballets) are choreographed, and also include mime, acting, and are set to music (usually orchestral but occasionally vocal).

Jazz Dance(adults)

Jazz is a common theatre based form of dance. In all 3 types of jazz, Lyrical, Blues and Classical movements focus strongly around isolating main areas of the body in preparation for the more unique steps like ball changes and jazz runs.

This class teaches all eras of jazz with hip-hop/funk moves to spice up the beat a little. Merging these styles promises an extreme workout as well as muscle toning and flexibility.

Dance (6 and up)

This class will offer children a creative outlet through creating and choreographing their own dances.we will do a fusion of different styles such as modern/ contemporary which allows more freedom of movement and expression of the self.

The children will have the opportunity to work in groups, pairs and alone, as well as learning movement from the instructor. Also, this class will offer an introduction to styles such as jazz, african, carribean and carnival. A real melting pot of different styles from different cultures.

Modern Dance (6 and up)

This class meets twice a week. One lesson each week will focus on developing strength, stamina and flexibility. Emphasis on stretching, jumping and strengthening exercises.

The other lesson each week will focus on movement and choreography. Classwork involves exercises that develop precision and accuracy of movement as well as training in executing dance steps and choreographed dance routines.

Break Dance (10 years and up)

The class structure will contain a vibrant mix of funky and commercial hip hop and breakbeat music with stretches, choreographed break dance footwork and of course learning core skills form flexibility and strength through break dance freezes from baby freezes to hand stands and inversions.

Salsa for beginners

This class will be fun and energetic. It will focus on the meaning of salsa which is Hot and Spicy, therefore the dances and music will emphasize this. Salsa is good fun and also a great way to keep in shape. It works the areas of the body that women are so often concerned with, like the stomach, abs, hips and bottom.

Men are encouraged to come and get involved as Salsa can be great fun when working with a partner. The class will be structured in 3 stages: the warm-up, the dance, the cool down. There will be a routine to learn and each week we will build on the set routine. Come and join in the fun!

Fast Oriental Mix (12-16 years)

The new Fast Oriental Mix style is a fusion of oriental dance (belly dance) movements and new music (house music with oriental beets). Combined with the power of house music and modern oriental movements. This style was developed by Mona El Said (Egyptian super Star).

Belly Dance (Oriental Dance with Vanessa)

The Belly Dance (also known as Rags Sharqui, Danca del Ventre, or Belle Dance Femenine) is a beautiful antique dance, rich on rhythmic variation and based on the music of the famous Egyptian musician Hossam Ramzy. Belly Dance focuses on balance, rhythm and body movement.

Come and express yourself. This class is open for female adults only. Come on gals, it’s never too late to learn how to shake it!

Vanessa will make sure you have a good time while shimmying off the calories!

Belly Dance (Oriental Dance with Elena)

Enjoy the Spirit of Belly Dance and learn the various techniques of Oriental, Saidi and Classic Belly Dance. It can teach you more about the EgyptianCulture and can help to improve your body and inspire your soul.

This form of dance can improve your body shape and is therefore also good for your health. You need not care about your age, weight or figure – you better reveal the secret of the eastern beauty for yourself!

Contemporary Dance

The word contemporary means new, today, modern. Therefore this style allows the person to express themselves, however they feel, through movement.

This style offers a range of different techniques to lengthen and strengthen the body as well as offering an outlet for creativity through improvisation and choreography.
